Employment assistance

Guiding women with job search, resume building, interview prep, and connections to opportunities for stable, fulfilling careers.

Providing access to trusted counselors and connections to external resources for holistic support and healing.

At Tina’s Place Transitional Housing of Indiana, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for young women aged 18-27 who have experienced physical or sexual abuse. Our compassionate team understands the unique challenges these women face and strives to empower them on their journey toward healing and independence.

Our mission is to offer a comprehensive support system that includes 24-hour shelter, life skills training, employment assistance, support groups, and referrals and counseling services. By focusing on holistic care, we help our residents rebuild their lives with confidence and resilience.

Contina Neville
Founder

Contina’s journey from supporting individuals with disabilities to empowering young women spans 15 years. She founded Tina’s Place Transitional Housing in Indiana to fulfill her dream. Outside work, she treasures time with family and travel.

Sadie Harper Scott
President

Sadie H. Scott: President, NAACP Lafayette/West Lafayette. Diversity Coordinator at Tippecanoe School Corporation.

Heather Maravilla
Vice President

Heather Maravilla, Regional 4 Coalition Coordinator for Indiana’s Trafficking Victim Assistance Program, is a lived expert in domestic sex trafficking & violence. Author, speaker, and advocate, she empowers survivors and educates stakeholders.

Crystal Shelbourne
Secretary

Crystal Shelbourne: 23-year wife, mother of 7, and 2 grandkids. With 20+ years in healthcare, I’m open-minded, patient, and a great team player. Enjoys walking, family time, travel, crafting, and marriage.

Christian Nielsen
Treasurer / Accountant

Christian holds a BS in Business Admin from the University of Arizona. With 3 years in Financial Services and 4 years in non-profits, he brings diverse expertise.

Emerald Eddie
Board Member

Emerald, a visionary with 10+ years in non-profits, supports mentorship, women, and youth advancement. Indiana State University graduate in Marketing Management and African American Studies, she’s a dedicated first responder and active community member.
